The Banana-Berry Smoothie is one perfect example for this use because it is packed with soy protein and fiber which will keep you full until your next meal. It is the perfect breakfast drink because it is loaded with vitamins and minerals you need to kick start your day.

Benefits of Banana Berry Smoothie

Bananas are really tasty fruits that are great to be mixed in drinks or eat it as it is but either way, the health benefits that this fruit has to offer cannot be denied. Bananas are mainly made up of sugar and fiber making them good sources of energy. But bananas are also great in lowering depression because they contain tryptophan which can be converted to serotonin, a kind of hormone that improves a person’s mood. Bananas are high in iron which fights off anemia. It is also great in fighting off constipation and diarrhea.

Ingredients of Banana Berry Smoothie

  • 1 1/4 cups orange juice
  • 1 ripe medium banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries, blackberries or raspberries
  • 1/2 cup silken tofu
  • 2 ice cubes, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, (optional)

Steps for Making Banana Berry Smoothie

Combine orange juice, banana, berries, tofu and crushed ice in a blender; cover and blend until smooth and frothy.

Sweeten with sugar, if desired.

Serve immediately.
