Beautiful Skin is every person’s dream. We all want to have that glowing beautiful skin, who doesn’t, right? So many of us have spent lots of cash on looking for the right products that can give us this. With the wide array of beauty products and cosmetics to choose, things can get quite confusing for both men and women. But not to worry because just our luck, there are actually less costly and easy ways on how we can have beautiful, radiant skin. You will be surprised that some of the tips are easy and some can be quite challenging.

Knowing your Skin Type for Beautiful Skin

The very first and most important step to having beautiful skin is knowing what skin type you have. Caring for the skin becomes much easier when you know the skin type that you have because each skin type has a specific way of treatment including which beauty products to choose and avoid. Doing this makes having beautiful skin much easier Basically, skin types are classified as:

  • Normal
  • Dry
  • Oily
  • Combination (oily and normal)
  • Sensitive

Tips on Having Beautiful Skin

There are numerous ways on how we can achieve flawless, clear, beautiful skin. All it takes is knowing the right ways on how to care for it and avoiding things that can affect our skin. Here are a few tips on how you can have beautiful skin:

1.    Know your Skin Type. 

    This is actually the very thing that we did. To find out what skin type you have, have some facial tissue with you and the minute you get up in the morning, wipe off your face. If your tissue blots with oil that means you have oily skin, if you notice that your skin is flaky then you have dry skin, but if you notice no difference from the minute you wake up throughout the day, then you have normal skin. For those with combination skin type, the oily parts are usually around the “T-Zone” which is the forehead and around the nose area while the other areas of the face are not. You will know if you have sensitive skin if it reacts quickly to dust, dirt and certain types of cosmetics. You may want to consult your dermatologist to help you find out what skin type you have and the recommended products to use.

2.    Balanced Diet. 

    That’s right! If you want to have beautiful skin start off by eating healthy foods. Include in your diet fruits and veggies because this is where we can get essential vitamins that are good for the skin. They are also rich in phytochemicals which is good not just for the skin but over all health.

3.    Moisturize. 

     Even those who have oily skin should moisturize according to dermatologists. Be sure to choose the moisturizer according to your skin type. Moisturizing your skin keeps it hydrated but be sure to wash your face first and do this twice a day, apply on the morning and the other before you doze off to sleep.

4.    Keep It Clean. 

   Washing your face especially before you sleep is very important. First of all, washing your face strips it off from the dust and dirt that stuck to your skin throughout the day and secondly, if you happen to wear make-up make sure to remove it thoroughly. Sleeping with your make-up on is a big no-no. Washing your face allows your skin to breathe and be cleansed. Clogged up oil, dust and make-up on the pores causes pimples and breakouts.

5.    Drink Lots of Water. 

     Drinking water is perhaps one of the best ways to flush out the toxins of our body. When we have enough water, our body is hydrated and so does our skin.

6.    Get Enough Sleep. 

    It is during sleep where our skin regenerates and our hormones are balanced. We give our body ample time to rest and repair the damaged cells in the body. Hormones also play a role on the skin, notice those times when we stay up late and wake in the morning with a zit? Hormones get affected when we do not get enough rest.

7.    Cut Out Vices. 

     Smoking and drinking can also affect our skin. It makes it appear saggy and dull and people who smoke a lot happen to look much older.

8.    Wear Sun screen. 

    Experts say that we should wear sun screen even during the coldest months of the year. Be sure to purchase products that are of good quality and high in SPF. When we are exposed to the harsh sun light, premature aging occurs.

9.   Have your Facials Done by an Expert. 

    Facials can be quite painful and at times can only worsen your skin if not done properly which is why it is important that when you have this done, leave it to the hands of an expert and not just anyone. Facials are a deep cleansing process and if you want to make sure that your facial skin is indeed cleansed, be sure to go to a reputable skin center.

10. Invest in Good Facial Products. 

     We know that in most cases, the best skin products happen to be the expensive ones but don’t get into thinking that just because a product is pricey, it means it really works. Before you purchase something for your skin, find out first if it fits your skin type and if you are not allergic to it. The best way to do this is try it on a small spot on your arms and if no reaction happens after 24 hours then go ahead buy it. It is important that we invest in good facial products because it can help in keeping a healthy and beautiful skin.
